I am disappointed that Expedia did not mention that this overpriced motel located in the middle of nowhere seem to primarily service those in the sex trade. While our room had nice veneers, our night at Olux felt unsanitary and unsafe. We are a family of five so before we booked we called to make sure they could accommodate us. We were told no problem. When we arrived, the room we were showed was more expensive then the one we had booked and it was smelly and crowded without any possibility of accommodating our family.
As we had not yet paid at the front desk we had reserved the room with a credit card , the front desk staff said we wouldn't be charged if we left. We chose to leave and have a comfortable night. We were charged. The manager was not helpful and refused to honour the words of his staff.
We were lied to. The rooms were dirty and unattractive. On March 28 I went there and the prices had never gone up but I was given a crappy room with a dirty bathroom downstairs. When i requested for a room upstairs they said i should pay the difference and go into the room upstairs. I said no I will like a refund because before we paid we specifically requested a room upstairs.
The service is just horrible and the staff are rude. I requested for a manager and no one will give me a manager. I ended up not staying there. This motel is absolutely horrible with horrible staff. The breakfast bar was great and the staff were all nice and spoke good english. Parking was plentiful, easy and free. And for once, the temperature in the room was perfect. It was even quiet! My number one reason to recommend though is to suggest you take a wander around the ground floor rooms and peek into the empty rooms.
The suites are hysterical and incredible. I recommend highly looking at the hotel's website's pictures as they are accurate, also hysterical. And the front desk is behind glass, and you need to put a 20 dollar deposit down to get your remotes. I'd recommend it for anyone who is up for an adventure, needs a reasonably priced place to stay and does not have kids. We arrived at the hotel around 1AM, and checked in.
